CHAPTER 33 (POST 9/11; a.k.a. FOREVER) GI BILL®

 What Does the Program Cover

The Chapter 33 (Post 9/11; a.k.a. Forever) GI Bill® program is different than other GI Bill® programs in calculating how much assistance will be provided. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs bases their decision on what to pay on the Service Member or Veteran's amount of Chapter 33-qualifying service. The following will help identify how tier rates are calculated and what assistance is provided based on the corresponding tier rate.

Understanding Tier Rates

Periods of Service That Qualify                                                                            Periods of Service That Do Not Qualify

Current Tier Rates                                                                                                         Tier Rates Effective 01 August 2020
